In pasteurized Leerdamer cheese (Fig. ​(Fig.3A,3A, lane 1), the TTGE analysis revealed the presence of only two species: Leuconostoc mesenteroides (band a), confirmed using specific primer tests (Table ​(Table4),4), and Lactococcus lactis (band b).
