In comparison, almost nothing is known about the chemical ecology of related species, which transmit American cutaneous leishmaniasis (ACL), due in part to difficulties in raising these insects in the laboratory. Understanding how ACL vectors locate their hosts will be essential to developing new vector control strategies to combat this debilitating disease.","tracks":[{"project":"PubMed_Structured_Abstracts","denotations":[{"id":"T1","span":{"begin":0,"end":526},"obj":"BACKGROUND"}],"attributes":[{"subj":"T1","pred":"source","obj":"PubMed_Structured_Abstracts"}]},{"project":"Allie","denotations":[{"id":"SS1_23009099_3_0","span":{"begin":267,"end":299},"obj":"expanded"},{"id":"SS2_23009099_3_0","span":{"begin":301,"end":304},"obj":"abbr"}],"relations":[{"id":"AE1_23009099_3_0","pred":"abbreviatedTo","subj":"SS1_23009099_3_0","obj":"SS2_23009099_3_0"}],"attributes":[{"subj":"SS1_23009099_3_0","pred":"source","obj":"Allie"},{"subj":"SS2_23009099_3_0","pred":"source","obj":"Allie"}]}],"config":{"attribute types":[{"pred":"source","value type":"selection","values":[{"id":"PubMed_Structured_Abstracts","color":"#9f93ec","default":true},{"id":"Allie","color":"#a0ec93"}]}]}}
