A strong, sharp peak at 1087 cm−1 shows a symmetric stretching of phosphate groups (42). The asymmetric stretchings of P=O which overlapped with P–O where both co-exist in phosphodiester group, together with P–O–C stretching, were at peaks 1238 cm−1 and 1062 cm−1 respectively.
