While stakeholders are committed to facilitating effective data sharing of COVID‐19 research findings, the types of data and the methods of sharing should be harmonized, where appropriate. Forums such as ICH and the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities can play an important role in convening stakeholders to navigate the various challenges and avoid the emergence of fragmented, potentially conflicting systems.
