He is interested in the design and application of nanobiosensors based on the use of nanotechnology and nanomaterials for several applications with interest for diagnostics, environment, safety, and security. His team is developing nanobiosensing platforms including paper-based nanobiosensors that, given their efficiency and low cost, are considered to be of special interest for point-of-care diagnostics of various diseases including COVID-19.
