A side note on the chosen heater width and heater spacing is that according to the simulations, the temperature differences within the chamber are less than ±0.3 °C for the most unfavorable dimensions. This temperature difference is still well-accepted in the temperature window in which the MDA reaction takes place (25 °C to 35 °C). However, as pointed out, a smaller cross-sectional area will result in a lower power consumption and therefore these dimensions are chosen. It is known that a meandering heater structure does not give the optimal temperature distribution over the device [26]. Therefore, the heater lines are longer than the width of the reaction chamber, and thus also covering the bulk material outside the chamber in order to improve the temperature uniformity inside the reaction mixture."}
