As in most experimental models involving meshes, we used the creation of the defect in the musculoaponeurotic plane, followed by the immediate implantation of the mesh to repair the defect created in the abdominal wall. However, in a clinical scenario using meshes for the repair of abdominal wall hernias in patients, the prosthesis is usually implanted after the maturation of the defect that gave rise to the hernia. Therefore, the results between the animal experimental scenario and the clinical scenario could be different even if the same mesh and implant were used in the same way30.","tracks":[{"project":"2_test","denotations":[{"id":"31432994-28466188-396070","span":{"begin":702,"end":704},"obj":"28466188"}],"attributes":[{"subj":"31432994-28466188-396070","pred":"source","obj":"2_test"}]}],"config":{"attribute types":[{"pred":"source","value type":"selection","values":[{"id":"2_test","color":"#93d3ec","default":true}]}]}}
