Symptomatic children experienced poor school performance. These findings support introduction of a policy on routine screening for ADHD in pediatric outpatient service. Positive history of injury and poor academic performance should trigger further evaluation for ADHD. Vanderbilt assessment scale is easier to administer than DSM-IV but has low sensitivity and high specificity that make it inappropriate for screening. It however provides a suitable alternative confirmatory test to determine who among clinically symptomatic patients requires referral to a psychiatrist.","divisions":[{"label":"Title","span":{"begin":0,"end":10}}],"tracks":[{"project":"NEUROSES","denotations":[{"id":"T24","span":{"begin":417,"end":420},"obj":"CHEBI_38624"},{"id":"T34","span":{"begin":436,"end":447},"obj":"PATO_0000085"},{"id":"T37","span":{"begin":40,"end":44},"obj":"PATO_0000469"},{"id":"T38","span":{"begin":452,"end":456},"obj":"PATO_0000469"},{"id":"T39","span":{"begin":432,"end":435},"obj":"PATO_0000471"}],"attributes":[{"subj":"T24","pred":"source","obj":"NEUROSES"},{"subj":"T34","pred":"source","obj":"NEUROSES"},{"subj":"T37","pred":"source","obj":"NEUROSES"},{"subj":"T38","pred":"source","obj":"NEUROSES"},{"subj":"T39","pred":"source","obj":"NEUROSES"}]}],"config":{"attribute types":[{"pred":"source","value type":"selection","values":[{"id":"NEUROSES","color":"#e993ec","default":true}]}]}}
