The cells were cultured in Dulbecco’s modified eagle medium/Ham’s F12 Nutrient Mixture (DMEM/Ham’s F-12 [1:1]) supplemented with 5% fetal calf serum (FCS), 1% insulin-transferrin-selenium (ITS), 16 mmol/L HEPES (all PAN-Biotech, Germany) and 5 ng/mL epidermal growth factor (EGF; BD, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey) at 39°C and 5% CO2. In the adhesion and adhesion inhibition experiments, the cells were seeded at a density of 2 x 105 /ml to a Transwell-like culture (Thincerts™, 1 μm pore size, diameter 10 mm; Greiner bio-one, Frickenhausen, Germany) and cultured for 4–5 days to allow differentiation, until the transepithelial electric resistance (TEER) value was ≥1 kΩcm2.","divisions":[{"label":"Title","span":{"begin":0,"end":12}}],"tracks":[{"project":"2_test","denotations":[{"id":"25070625-8770040-12189970","span":{"begin":129,"end":131},"obj":"8770040"}],"attributes":[{"subj":"25070625-8770040-12189970","pred":"source","obj":"2_test"}]},{"project":"MicrobeTaxon","denotations":[{"id":"T67","span":{"begin":157,"end":164},"obj":"9823"},{"id":"T68","span":{"begin":332,"end":336},"obj":"9913"},{"id":"T66","span":{"begin":121,"end":127},"obj":"9823"}],"namespaces":[{"prefix":"_base","uri":"http://purl.bioontology.org/ontology/NCBITAXON/"}],"attributes":[{"subj":"T67","pred":"source","obj":"MicrobeTaxon"},{"subj":"T68","pred":"source","obj":"MicrobeTaxon"},{"subj":"T66","pred":"source","obj":"MicrobeTaxon"}]}],"config":{"attribute types":[{"pred":"source","value type":"selection","values":[{"id":"2_test","color":"#ec93e5","default":true},{"id":"MicrobeTaxon","color":"#93ecd9"}]}]}}
