We measured free and bound fractions of T3 and T4 and TSH, as well as plasma cortisol, in female patients with BPD and a history of suicide attempts. We hypothesized that exposure to interpersonal violence as a child would be associated with altered adult thyroid hormone levels. Since most of the literature relating HPT dysregulation to trauma has involved patients with PTSD, we further analyzed the patients with and without comorbid PTSD diagnosis separately."}
