Both, floating and attached cells were collected, fixed in 5 % TCA at room temperature for 30 min and washed with 5 % TCA for 15 min. The acid-insoluble material was dissolved in 0.1 mol/L KOH overnight at 4 °C, and aliquots were used to determine the radioactivity using liquid scintillation counter (Beckman LS3133P).
