Alanine residues have a short side chain with the methyl groups directly attached to the backbone. The Cα–Cβ axis motion does not depend on any side chain dihedral angle and only fluctuates along with backbone motions. Both A28 and A46 show the highest order parameters with (Cβ) = 1.38 ± 0.47 and (Cβ) = 1.09 ± 0.26, respectively. Whereas A28 is located in the rigid α-helix ((NH) = 0.85 ± 0.06), A46 is at the slightly less rigid interface between the β4-strand and the following loop.","tracks":[]}
