If Youden's index Y, i.e., true positive rate minus false positive rate, is maximal, then the classification accuracy cannot be further improved by taking a larger cutoff [19]. We observe Ymax ≈ 0.644 for c ≤ 0.15. Hence, a further increase of c leads to a worse proportion of correctly and falsely classified alignments.
