If we knew in advance all the functional groups in the module, we could simply connect the proteins within each functional group turning it into a clique and, under the assumption that the resulting graph is chordal, apply clique tree construction algorithm to the graph. Since we do not have predefined functional groups, our algorithm identifies them by adding edges to the graph in such a way that each added edge connects a pair of nodes that putatively belong to the same functional group.","tracks":[]}
