PK study of N-acetylated Tα1-PAS in rats. Tα1-PAS was subcutaneously injected at a dose of 3.4 mg/kg b.w. into female Wistar rats (N = 5). The concentration of the fusion protein in plasma was quantified using sandwich ELISA. Data were plotted against the sampling time post injection (p.i.) and fitted using a one-compartment model. The PK profile shows distinct absorption and elimination phases (for PK parameters, see Table 1).
