De Wilde et al. identified four drugs—chloroquine (8), chlorpromazine (15), loperamide (184), and lopinavir (185)—by screening of an FDA approved drugs library (for structures, see Figure 40). 252  All of them blocked SARS‐CoV‐1, MERS‐CoV, and HCoV‐229E replication at small concentrations, suggesting potential as broad‐spectrum virostatic agents.
