Section 2 provides additional detail on existing techniques for generating artificial DNA microarray data and why they are not suitable for kinome arrays. It goes on to discuss common methods to deal with heterogeneity of variance in microarray data. Section 3 presents the proposed method for synthesizing inter-array technical replicates and applying artificial phosphorylation such that the synthesized kinome array data reflects pre-determined phosphorylation patterns. Section 4 discusses criteria and a methodology for comparison of variance stabilization methods. Experimental design is described in Section 5, and Section 6 presents results of the analyses. Suggestions for future research are discussed in Section 7. Finally Section 8 ends the paper with a summary and conclusions.","tracks":[]}
