BSGS The BSGS is a study on adolescent twins comprising a total of 962 individuals from 314 families of European descent,20 and a subset of these individuals have DNA-methylation data (614 individuals from 177 families). Families consist of adolescent monozygotic (MZ) and dizygotic (DZ) twins, their siblings, and their parents. The BSGS comprises a sub-sample from a larger and continuing study on families with adolescent twins. Recruitment commenced in 1992. A full description of the BSGS cohort has been previously provided.20,21
