Videomicroscopy of brain tissue sliced from the third ventricle of newborn homozygote Ccdc151Snbl mutant mice reveals mostly immotile cilia, with patches of cilia having slow and restricted ciliary motion. In contrast, ependymal cilia from littermate control mice show normal rapid synchronous ciliary beating.
