Primary objective
The primary objective of the study is to test the hypothesis that methylphenidate immediate release given twice daily (BID) is significantly superior to placebo in the treatment of manic symptoms in patients with bipolar disorder after 2.5 days of treatment as assessed by the Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) [41].
