DNA Isolation
Patients' genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood via the Puregene DNA isolation kit (Gentra System, Minneapolis, MN, USA). DNA was extracted from frozen tissue and peripheral leukocytes via the Puregene DNA Extraction Kit, as well. Alternatively, DNA from paraffin blocks was isolated via the QIAGEN Kit in accordance with the vendor's instruction or as described previously.10
