Treatment response in malignant optic glioma of adulthood. Two adults with malignant optic gliomas displayed dramatic tumor shrinkage and prolonged survival after radiation therapy alone in one case and combined radiation and chemotherapy in the other. Although malignant optic gliomas have been reported to be radiation resistant, marked treatment response may occur and aggressive treatment protocols should be considered.
